A violet light emanated from the source of the voice, filling the misty night with the eerie, foreboding glow. At the center stood the dark figure, cloaked to the ground, standing as though nailed to a cross in the center of the cave. All around, the ground changed, small piles of rubble forming as hands clawed their way to the top, bones being encased in muscle, then tissue. The hand was soon followed by the lifeless, blue glow of eyes as floating, blue souls of the innocent killed drifted into the empty body cavities of those that had come.
”What is this madness...?” the voice came as a whisper, from a small figure in the corner. The body began to tremble, and shake uncontrollably. The windows of the small, abandoned house were broken. The light of fear remained in the figures eyes before a manic grin spread across its face, lighting the eyes with an insane fire. Throwing its head back, the figure laughed into the air, practically screaming with laughter as a bought of euphoria overtook its trembling body. ”ITS AS THOUGH IVE ONLY JUST BEEN BORN..!” the voice shouted, shifting and falling backwards onto the ground, as a black light of its Soul came over it, releasing a wavelength that travelled through the brick of the house as though it were nothing.[/font]

Death City. A city smack in the middle of Death Valley, Nevada, and home of the world-respected Death Weapon Meister Academy (DWMA), a school founded by Lord Death 800 years prior to keep the peace of the world. Though it may look like an impressive building from the outside, just wait until you step through the doors.
Students - Weapons and Meisters - mill about, while their teachers make sure everything stays in check, and lessons carry on as planned. Normal, right? Just wait until night falls in the City. Kishin Eggs become more active, and the students go out to play. The Kishin Asura was taken down one year ago, and soon enough Lord Death will hold a commemoration event to mark the anniversary.
However, there is something strange in the air. A Necromancer - more than likely a Witch - has been harvesting the Souls of humans. Not consuming, harvesting. The few reports have said he or she is doing so by using what it seeks - humans souls, brought from the dead by a powerful spell that has enough force to shake the city to its roots. The motives are unclear, and there is something else besides the tedious harvest of Innocent Souls.
A Madness Wavelength. It is very weak, and only sporadic. However, it can still be felt. What does this mean? Is the Witch the source of this wavelength? If so, what is she doing to create it? Or, is it what we have been fighting to prevent - the birth of a second Kishin?
It's up to you to find out. Will you stand as a Witch? Will you stand as a Weapon? A Meister? A Kishin Egg, even? Or, will you stand Alone?
